"Getting Rough was everything I expected and more! Parker keeps on surprising me with her talent."
After reading Playing Dirty , I thought , Man! she couldn't outshine this one. But i was so wrong. Getting Rough has once again left me stupefied by the amount of awesomeness, it pages contains in itself.
"Tonight it was like kicking off the surface of that moon and reaching for the brightest star in the galaxy, and then hugging it to me to let it burn in the most blissful sort of satisfaction."
The story starts from where the author ended it in the first book, Shawn going on a chase to make it clear to his troublemaker that he doesn't need her pity. Ah well, that's what he thinks is the reason for stalking Cass. But we all know there's more to the story. We also get to meet Cassidy's sweetheart and Shawn Competition, Casey Michaels who has still kept his candle of attraction for Cassidy, burning. And then their's Cassidy herself, who is fighting between her possessiveness of her safe heaven Casey, and her traitorous heart who is secretly pining for her no.1 Enemy (or ex-enemy). The whole story is up and down's of their emotions and reactions to the crazy situations, leaving it audience with falling out of their bed laugh and fanning themselves heat.
"Cassidy startled and bucked, those gorgeous green eyes of hers popoong open while her pearly white stole center stage with a hearty laugh accompanied by a snort that wasn't anything near dainty. Good God, But she was beautiful."
I recommend everyone who needs to fall in love with characters who are stubborn but still knows how to get their place in your heart, to take a chance with this book.

C. L. Parker is a romance author who writes stories that sizzle. She’s a small-town girl with big-city dreams and enough tenacity to see them come to fruition.
